From the Islands of Hawai'i, Gino was someone who was born in Philippines then raised in O'ahu. Creative from a young age, he has done many things from drawing and painting, poetry and literature, digital design, photography, videography, and screen writing.
One thing Gino excels at is story-telling.
Through his music, he tells his stories and the things he has experienced in life.
Gino's first instrument was the piano, which his mother spent quite a hefty amount of money on lessons in third grade, then enrolled for his intermediate school's Band class as a percussion, and at the same time he also picked up guitar and found joy in leading worship for his church's youth group.
Throughout his high school years he was always doing things in the creatives. He aspired to be a poet so he did a lot of writing for slam poetry, made short films and screenwriting, and also photography. One thing he never stopped doing was music.
He started taking classes for music production and made lots of music on reasons propellerhead. Shortly after graduating, Gino interns for a Kaka’ako based production and songwriting company called “TheBrewz”, closely working with Chaz Umamoto, Josh Stephens, and Kolomona Ku. He has worked on Thomas Iannucci’s album “Doubting Thomas”, made music for Ads on TikTok. He released 46 tracks in a single year back in 2021 under “Senzu Beats”, all while producing, creating artwork and Spotify canvases, and promotion for that project.
Now he is currently releasing music as “Gino the Artist” with his Debut back in July 2023 releasing “Weekend”.
